Since 2003, the Northern Lights Lantern Festival has celebrated North End Halifax.
The Northern Lights Lantern Festival is a day of fun and creativity for all ages, where old friends run into each other and new friends are made.The festival is a celebration of the vibrancy and diversity of Halifax’s North End. It’s a community festival in the truest sense where everyone is welcome.
There is no charge for admission, BBQ or activities. It’s a great way to celebrate the North End as a community.

The festival takes place at Merv Sullivan Park (The Pit) on Novalea Drive, in North End Halifax
Walk, use active transportation or take Halifax Transit Routes 7A, 7B or 29 to get to the festival.
